Maple butter cornbread with chili honey
Cornbread
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1 cup flour
- ⅓ cup sugar
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 eggs
- ⅓ cup melted butter
- 2 tbsp maple syrup/syrup
Toppings
- 3 tbsp softened butter
- 1 tbsp maple syrup/syrup
- 2 tbsp honey + pinch chili flakes
Preheat oven to 180°C.
Mix dry ingredients; whisk wet separately.
Combine, pour into greased pan.
Bake 20–25 minutes.
Mix butter and maple for spread.
Mix honey and chili for drizzle.
Add the butter and honey drizzle over a slice and enjoy
