Maple butter cornbread with chili honey

Ingredients
  

Cornbread

  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup flour
  • cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 eggs
  • cup melted butter
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup/syrup

Toppings

  • 3 tbsp softened butter
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup/syrup
  • 2 tbsp honey + pinch chili flakes

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 180°C.
  • Mix dry ingredients; whisk wet separately.
  • Combine, pour into greased pan.
  • Bake 20–25 minutes.
  • Mix butter and maple for spread.
  • Mix honey and chili for drizzle.
  • Add the butter and honey drizzle over a slice and enjoy
