desiccated coconut
plus extra for rolling

eggs

teaspoons
baking powder
1
cup
sugar

tablespoons
butter
room temperature

flour
Pinch
of salt
Cherry and strawberry jam (any red jam
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 180˚C.
Mix sugar and butter until creamy.
Separate eggs and beat the egg whites until stiff. Add the egg yolks to the butter mixture.
Mix in the beaten egg whites.
Fold in the flour, coconut, salt, and baking powder into the butter mixture.
Scoop tablespoon-sized portions and roll them into balls. Roll in extra coconut and place on your baking pan.
Press hearts with your thumb/finger.
Fill the spaces with jam and bake for 15 minutes at 180˚C.
If some of the jam cooked away fill up with more jam after taking them out of the oven
Let them cool and store in an airtight container
