Chicken noodle soup
This creamy chicken noodle soup is a quick and comforting meal for cold days. Made with shredded chicken, corn, and a smooth white sauce using Nestlé Cremora, it’s rich, satisfying, and easy to make. Serve it with warm bread for the ultimate cosy dinner.
- 4 tbsp margarine
- 6 tbsp cake flour
- ¾ cup Nestlé Cremora Original
- 1½ cups hot water
- Salt & pepper to season
- 4 chicken breasts cooked and shredded
- 1 can corn
- 1 L Chicken stock
For the white sauce
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the margarine.
Add the flour and whisk continuously to form a smooth roux. Cook for 1–2 minutes to remove the raw flour taste.
In a separate bowl, dissolve the Cremora in hot water until fully combined.
Gradually whisk the Cremora mixture into the roux, stirring continuously until smooth and thickened.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
For the soup
Mix the white sauce and chicken stock together, add the con and chicken and simmer over medium heat
Serve warm with bread of choice
