
Chicken noodle soup
This creamy chicken noodle soup is a quick and comforting meal for cold days. Made with shredded chicken, corn, and a smooth white sauce using Nestlé Cremora, it’s rich, satisfying, and easy to make. Serve it with warm bread for the ultimate cosy dinner.
Ingredients
- 4 tbsp margarine
- 6 tbsp cake flour
- ¾ cup Nestlé Cremora Original
- 1½ cups hot water
- Salt & pepper to season
- 4 chicken breasts cooked and shredded
- 1 can corn
- 1 L Chicken stock
Instructions
For the white sauce
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the margarine.
- Add the flour and whisk continuously to form a smooth roux. Cook for 1–2 minutes to remove the raw flour taste.
- In a separate bowl, dissolve the Cremora in hot water until fully combined.
- Gradually whisk the Cremora mixture into the roux, stirring continuously until smooth and thickened.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
For the soup
- Mix the white sauce and chicken stock together, add the con and chicken and simmer over medium heat
- Serve warm with bread of choice
