Charcuterie Candles

Course Appetizer

Ingredients
  

  • 1 packet of salted crackers like Salticrax
  • 100 g salami
  • 100 g cheddar cheese cut into thick rectangular blocks (about 2–3 cm tall)
  • White pickled onions drained

Instructions
 

  • Arrange the crackers on a serving board.
  • Top each cracker with a slice of salami.
  • Cut cheddar into thick, rectangular blocks that resemble candle shapes.
  • Place a cheddar block upright in the centre of the salami using a toothpick pushed through the top to hold it in place.
  • Add a pickled onion on top of each toothpick to resemble a candle flame.
  • Chill for a few minutes before serving, or enjoy immediately as a festive snack.
