Custard cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 340 g butter/margarine
  • 100 g icing sugar
  • 5 ml vanilla extract Optional
  • 325 g cake flour
  • 175 g custard powder
  • 20 ml baking powder
  • Salt

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C and prepare a baking tray.
  • Cream the spread and add the sugar and mix.
  • Add the flavoring and mix well (if using)
  • Add the flour, custard powder, baking powder, and salt.
  • Mix well and knead lightly to form a dough.
  • Roll the dough into balls and place them on the baking tray(s).
  • Flatten with a fork and bake for 10–12 minutes.
