
Peppermint Hot Chocolate
A refreshing twist on classic hot chocolate with a hint of mint, topped with marshmallows. Perfect for festive or cozy winter moments.
Ingredients
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 –2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp cornflour optional
- ¼ –½ tsp mint syrup or to taste
- Pinch of salt
To serve:
- Marshmallow
- Matcha powder for dusting
- Optional: mint sprigs
Instructions
- In a saucepan, whisk cocoa powder, sugar and cornflour with a little milk until smooth.
- Add remaining milk and heat gently, stirring, until hot and slightly thickened.
- Stir in mint syrup and a pinch of salt.
- Pour into a mug, top with a marshmallow and lightly dust with matcha powder.
Notes
Use 50g chocolate instead of cocoa for a richer hot chocolate
