White Wine Chicken Penne Pasta

Ingredients
  

  • 250 g penne pasta cooked
  • 2 chicken breasts cooked and sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ cup dry white wine
  • ½ cup cream
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • Fresh sage leaves
  • Thyme
  • ¼ cup Parmesan cheese optional

Instructions
 

  • In a large pan, heat the butter over medium heat until it starts to brown.
  • Add the minced garlic and sage leaves to the pan. Sauté until fragrant.
  • Slowly pour in the white wine, whisking to combine with the butter and garlic.
  • Gradually add the cream, continuing to whisk until the sauce is well blended.
  • Stir in the Parmesan cheese (if using), and season with salt, thyme and pepper to taste.
  • Cook the sauce for an additional 2 minutes, or until it has thickened to your desired consistency.
  • Add the cooked penne pasta and sliced chicken to the sauce, tossing to coat evenly.
  • Serve immediately, with extra grated Parmesan cheese on top for added flavor.
