Rose and cardamom loaf with a glaze

Indulge in the delicate flavors of rose and cardamom with this fragrant loaf. Topped with a rose glaze, it's a perfect dessert or tea-time treat.

Ingredients
  

For the loaf

  • 1 Rose & cardamom premix
  • 113 g unsalted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the glaze

  • 1 cup icing sugar sifted
  • 3– 3 ½ tsp rose water/milk

Instructions
 

For the loaf

  • Preheat your oven to 160˚C and grease or line your desired baking tin.
  • In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar using an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • Combine the milk, rose water, and vanilla extract in a jug. Slowly add this mixture to the butter and egg mixture, alternating with the premix ingredients. Fold gently until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into your prepared tin and bake for 30-40 minutes or until golden brown and a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean. *Baking time will depend on tin size.
  • Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely on a wire rack.

For the Icing

  • In a bowl mix together the icing sugar and liquid until desired consistency is reached
  • Once the bake has cooled, pour the glaze on top, garnish as desired and enjoy!
