Rose and cardamom loaf with a glaze
Indulge in the delicate flavors of rose and cardamom with this fragrant loaf. Topped with a rose glaze, it's a perfect dessert or tea-time treat.
For the loaf
- 1 Rose & cardamom premix
- 113 g unsalted butter
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
For the glaze
- 1 cup icing sugar sifted
- 3– 3 ½ tsp rose water/milk
For the loaf
Preheat your oven to 160˚C and grease or line your desired baking tin.
In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar using an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Combine the milk, rose water, and vanilla extract in a jug. Slowly add this mixture to the butter and egg mixture, alternating with the premix ingredients. Fold gently until just combined.
Pour the batter into your prepared tin and bake for 30-40 minutes or until golden brown and a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean. *Baking time will depend on tin size.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely on a wire rack.
For the Icing
In a bowl mix together the icing sugar and liquid until desired consistency is reached
Once the bake has cooled, pour the glaze on top, garnish as desired and enjoy!
