Rooibos hot chocolate
A uniquely South African hot chocolate infused with rooibos tea for a warm and comforting drink with subtle earthy flavours.

Ingredients

cup
milk
1
rooibos teabag
1
tbsp
cocoa powder
1–2
tbsp
sugar or honey
1
tsp
cornflour
optional
Pinch
of salt
To serve:
Marshmallows
Instructions
Heat milk in a saucepan until steaming.
Add rooibos teabag and steep for 5–7 minutes, then remove.
Whisk in cocoa powder, sugar (or honey) and cornflour.
Heat gently, stirring, until smooth and slightly thickened.
Add a pinch of salt.
Pour into a mug and top with marshmallows.
Notes
Use 50g chocolate instead of cocoa for a richer hot chocolate
