Koeksister Coffee
Koeksister coffee combines the bold flavors of espresso with the sweet, spiced notes of traditional South African koeksisters, creating a unique and indulgent beverage. Infusing the milk with koeksisters adds a new twist to your everyday coffee.
- 60 ml espresso shot or brewed ground coffee
- 200 ml milk
- 6 koeksisters
Add the milk and koeksisters to a saucepan and simmer for 5-10 minutes, allowing the milk to absorb the koeksister flavor.
Once infused, remove the koeksisters and squeeze out any remaining milk. You can save the koeksisters for use in a bread pudding.
Pull an espresso shot or brew your coffee.
Steam or froth the infused milk and add it to the coffee.
