Dairy-Free Melkkos

Melkkos is the ultimate South African comfort dish: warm, creamy, nostalgic. Traditionally made with milk, butter, and flour, it’s a taste of childhood in every bite. But for those of us who are dairy-sensitive or simply looking for a gentler option, this dairy-free melkkos keeps all the heart and flavour of the original, without the regret.
Swapping out regular milk for Parmalat EasyGest and using plant-based butter, this version is easy on digestion, but still rich, creamy and cinnamon-kissed. Serve it fordessert, or whenever your soul needs soothing — it’s still melkkos, still magical, just more mindful.
