An Unforgettable Dining Experience at Truffles on the Park

After first visiting Truffles on the Park during a Robertson’s #FamousForFlavour event, I knew I had to come back to experience it on my own terms. When I saw them listed for Restaurant Week, I booked immediately. The evening was nothing short of extraordinary, and I can’t wait to share all the details of this cozy gem.

Atmosphere & First Impressions

Truffles on the Park offers the ideal ambiance – warm, inviting, and perfect for conversation without overwhelming background noise. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and added to the memorable experience. I visited with friends and wanted them to have the full three-course experience, and Truffles did not disappoint!

Starters

We started with two unique appetizers. Three of us chose the ravioli, filled with ricotta, spinach, and sumac, topped with butternut cream, crispy butternut, and sage oil. While the dish as a whole was superb, the butternut crisps added an unforgettable crunch and flavor. One tried the “One Bird Two Wings,” stuffed chicken wings served with a truffle BBQ sauce and a cabbage and cucumber slaw. The tangy slaw and flavorful BBQ sauce made it a standout.

Main Course

For the main course, we all opted for the aged beef fillet with butterbean puree, baby onions, onion crumble, and peppercorn sauce. The beef was cooked to perfection, and every component complemented it beautifully. One of our friends is allergic to butterbeans, and the chefs kindly provided a side of fries instead – a thoughtful touch that we all appreciated.

The evening wrapped up with a divine chocolate ganache tart accompanied by macerated strawberries, white chocolate ice cream, and an orange and pink pepper sauce. The tart was smooth and light, with each element working in harmony to create a perfect finish to our meal.

Truffles on the Park delivered an exceptional experience from start to finish. If you’re looking for a place for a date night, celebration, or simply a fantastic dinner, I can’t recommend Truffles highly enough. We’re already planning our return!
