
Lamb Burgers with Rose Harissa Tzatziki
These juicy lamb burgers are layered with bold Middle Eastern spices and a creamy rose harissa tzatziki. Serve on brioche or flatbread with fresh greens, pickled onions, and optional pomegranate arils for a next-level burger experience.
Ingredients
For the patties:
- 500 g lamb mince
- 1 small red onion finely grated or minced
- 1 garlic clove crushed
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- ½ tsp cinnamon optional
- Salt & black pepper
- Chopped fresh parsley or mint
- Optional: 1–2 tsp rose harissa inside the mix for an extra kick
Assembly Ideas
- Bun: Soft brioche or flatbread folded like a pita
Toppings:
- Baby spinach or rocket
- Pickled red onions or shaved cucumber ribbons
- Sliced tomatoes
- Crumbled feta or thin slice of halloumi
- Optional: pomegranate arils for a sweet crunch
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients until just combined. Form into 4 patties.
- Chill for 15–20 min to firm up.
- Braai or pan-fry for 3–4 min per side until golden and just cooked through.
- Base bun with spinach, lamb patty, a dollop of Rose Harissa Tzatziki, pickled onions and other toppings.
- Cover with the other bun and enjoy with chips or other sides
