Homemade Strawberry and Banana Granola with Edible Flowers
This homemade Strawberry Banana Granola combines rolled oats, chia seeds, and a blend of freeze-dried strawberries, bananas, and edible flowers for a beautiful, crunchy, and nutritious treat. Perfect for breakfast or as a snack!
Ingredients
- ¼ cup almond butter or other nut/seed butter of choice
- ¼ cup honey
- Pinch of salt
- 1 ½ cups rolled oats
- ¼ cup seed mixture
- 2 tbsp chia seeds
- ¼ cup freeze dried strawberries and bananas
- Freeze dried edible flowers optional
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 160°C and line a standard-size baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine the almond butter, honey, salt, rolled oats, chia and seeds. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly coated.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking sheet, spreading it into an even layer. Use additional baking sheets as needed if increasing the batch size.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, keeping a close eye on it toward the end to prevent burning. The granola is done when it is fragrant and darkened in color.
- Note: For chunkier granola, do not toss while baking. For a more crumbly texture, stir the granola at the halfway point.
- Once browned, remove from the oven and toss gently to let the heat escape. Cool completely on the baking sheet.
- Mix in the freeze dried strawberries, bananas, and flowers if using.
- Serve with your choice of yogurt or milk, or enjoy it on its own as a tasty snack.
