Amarula Mocha baked oats

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 ripe bananas mashed
  • ¼ cup Coffee Amarula *
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ cup chopped nuts e.g., pecans or walnuts
  • ¼ cup dark chocolate chopped/chips
  • Butter or cooking spray for greasing the baking dish

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C. Grease a baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, Amarula liqueur, milk, honey and whisk until well combined.
  • Stir in the rolled oats, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, salt, and baking powder.
  • Mix until everything is well incorporated.
  • Add the chopped nuts, and dark chocolate chips (if using) to the mixture.
  • Stir until they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  • Pour the oat mixture into the greased baking dish and spread it evenly.
  • Bake in the oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the oats are set.
  • Allow the Amarula baked oats to cool for a few minutes before eating. You can serve them warm with a drizzle of Amarula liqueur or a dollop of yogurt, if desired.
  • You can add more texture and flavor by topping the baked oats with additional nuts, fresh berries, or a sprinkle of powdered sugar.
